NOT content with completing a gruelling 14-hour Iron Man event, courageous Dean Sargeant is looking for Advertiser/Messenger readers to set him a new challenge.
The 38-year-old engineering manager with Dynathermon on Aston Fields industrial estate, Bromsgrove, successfully completed the Iron Man event in Nice, France, last month, raising more than £1,000 for Cancer Research UK.
He accomplished the three part course, which included a 2.4 mile sea swim, a 112-mile bike ride and a marathon run, in 14 hours, 30 minutes and 35 seconds.
Although 1,200 people entered, Dean was one of just 874 to finish the course.
Dean, who lives in Dudley, said: "The course was very tough. During the cycling part I came close to throwing in the towel as I had trouble with the nutrition supplements I had for the race.
"I felt great after the race, but when I got home I was fit for nothing!"
Now Dean is raring to get back in training and wants readers to come up with an unusual challenge for him to take on.
"I'm always on the lookout for something out of the ordinary," he added.
