Amber Swanson proved she has real specs appeal after being chosen to take part in a national modelling competition.
Amber, who lives in Wychbold, was chosen from more than 3,000 entries to take part in the regional semi-finals of Specsavers' Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition.
She entered the competition after her grandmother saw it advertised during a visit to her local Specsavers store in Bromsgrove.
The semi-final was due to take place yesterday (Tuesday August 1) at Specsavers in Birmingham.
Winners of the regional heats will go through to the Grand Final at London's Waldorf Hilton hotel in October.
The top prize includes a one-year modelling contract with top London agency MOT, a luxury two-week break to the Maldives, and over £400 worth of gift vouchers.
Ninteen-year-old Amber, who will begin a law degree at Warwick University in October, said: "I am shocked to have been chosen to go through to the semi-final, I didn't think I stood a chance.
"I would love to go on to win the modelling contract and such a fantastic holiday - it would be a dream come true."
