A LOCAL garage is offering a reward for any information that can lead to an arrest and conviction of thieves who targeted the site a few months ago.

Money and shop goods were stolen and the store damaged when the Total Worcester Road service station in Droitwich Spa was hit by raiders at around 4.15am on Friday, June 16.

Police were called to the scene and quickly arrived but did not catch the offenders. They are now currently studying the CCTV footage of the incident.

Following the crime, Total is offering a reward of up to £1,000 in conjunction with Crimestoppers.

A spokesman for Total said: "We are offering this reward to any member of the public who can supply information resulting in the arrest and conviction of those who committed the crime.

"We will not tolerate incidents of this nature. The safety and security of staff and customers is an absolute priority for Total and the reward scheme is part of a raft of measures being introduced by the company across the county to combat forecourt crime."

The spokesman added: "The firm's security department is also working closely with police to analyse the CCTV footage in order to catch the perpetrators.

"We are constantly working to improve safety to prevent this type of incident occurring in the future at this and other service stations across the country. A number of measures are being implemented towards this goal, including the latest CCTV technology and increased staff training," said the spokesman.

Any member of the public with information relating to the incident should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
