I RECALL that one of the issues taken up in the Advertiser/Messenger has been the litter in and around our town.
My husband and I recently returned from a journey across Russia, to Vladivostok, on the Trans-Siberian Express.
We started our journey from Bromsgrove station, travelling thousands of kilometres across Europe and Siberia by train, getting onto the TSE at Brest on the Polish Belorus border. We stopped at or passed through many stations; sadly, the only one clogged up with litter was Bromsgrove.
I was sorry to discover this - but not surprised, as a regular picker-up of litter in the local lanes. What can be done?
