SIR - Further to Mike Foster's patronising letter (July 18) in reply to my previous correspondence I would remind him that while it may be true that the county council came up with the figure of £10m if his party - the Government of the day - had provided the £12m they pledged for the school to be rebuilt then we would not be having these exchanges within the local Press.
As it was, Phoney Blair's Government 'bribed' the electorate for the votes in the election then hastily withdrew the money afterwards. So this is what education, education, education really means within the Labour Party. No wonder the population of the UK doesn't trust politicians whatever party they represent.
