TAKE the classic story of a girl wanting to prove her mettle to her ex-boyfriend, add in some young sexy actors and actresses, a fair few romantic storylines and some comedy moments, and there you have it - a highly entertaining film.

Add in the girl dressing up as a bloke for good measure and the movie gets even better. Viola Hastings (Amanda Bynes) is keen to prove her soccer skills and is forced to pose as her brother to get on a rival school's team.

Inspired by Shakespeare's comedy Twelfth Night, there's plenty of laughs along the way, with cases of mistaken identity rife.

But in true feel-good comedy style, everything turns out fine in the end.

Amanda Bynes is excellent, both as a boy and a girl, and is helped along by a great supporting cast including hot talent Channing Tatum, the striker she falls for. But it's Vinnie Jones who steals the show with his bit-part as Viola's team coach, bringing his trademark style as a man of little words to the sunny and bright comedy.

And it's aspects like this, as well as a great soundtrack of hit songs and some impressive footballing scenes that make the movie appealing to both sexes.

She's The Man pulls no punches and is not over-ambitious.

Instead, it is everything a film of its genre should be - light-hearted, humorous, fun and wonderfully entertaining.
