FRIENDS OF ACORNS CHILDREN'S HOSPICE - Members have had a busy and fruitful month with Susan Newell holding a party and raising £355. Sylvia Price held a strawberry tea and raised £400 with the quiz still on going. The teddy bears brought in £232.05.
Lynne Beckett continues to sell her cross stitch and decoupage cards and pictures at many clubs, fairs and has recently had a table at the Flower Festival at the Westlyan Methodist Church.
She will be at the fair on Walshes Meadow held by St Bartholomew's Church and the total she had raised for Acorns is now £9,000.
The new coordinator is Pat Giles, who takes over from Graham and Margaret Taylor.
WYRE FOREST BUSINESS CLUB - Dr Richard Taylor MP will be the speaker at the club on Wednesday, September 20 at 7.30pm at Menzies Stourport Manor Hotel. Friends and colleagues are welcome.

RAMBLERS ASSOCIATION - On Sunday, August 6, there will be a seven mile walk in the Cotswolds starting at Chedworth Roman Villa. Members should meet at New Road car park, Kidderminster, at 9.30am. Ring Dixon for more details on 01299 826941.
SEVERN SIDE RAMBLERS - A walk of around eight miles duration around Craven Arms has been organised for Sunday.
Ramblers are asked to meet at the Memorial Park Gates, Park Avenue, Stourport, at 9am prompt.
Transport can be arranged. New walkers will be made welcome, so if you fancy walking in the beautiful English Countryside come along and enjoy the day.

WYRE FOREST FRIENDSHIP CENTRE - At the recent meeting, members enjoyed a talk about the History of the Fire Brigade, by David Williams, illustrated with a number of large posters of the old engines and their crews, based at Kidderminster.
On Thursday, August 17 at 10am, in the Lickhill Community Centre, Stourport Memorial Park, Jan Harrigan will tell us about Swan Rescue.
The coach trip to Hampton Court Gardens is on Thursday, September 7, leaving at 11am from Lickhill Community Centre.
