WINYATES councillor David Enderby has appeared in court accused of assault.
The recently elected British National Party member on Redditch Council was before the town's magistrates on Friday, July 21 to answer three counts of assault relating to an arrest made on June 28.
The 45-year-old Atcham Close resident was elected in Winyates ward in May's local elections.
He is due back in court on September 1 when a date will be set for the trial.
He has been granted conditional bail.
