two matters which concern the village. The first is the Parish Plan through which you will have a direct say as to how, and indeed what, you would like to happen with our village in the next ten or more years.

A questionnaire will go to each household within the village and your parish council will welcome its early completion so that it can correlate the responses and put into action the matters you will raise.

The sooner you complete and return, the sooner the parish council will have its steer on matters which concern you.

The other item of help concerns an alarming rise in vandalism within the village recently, particularly on Spittalfields.

Damage has been deliberately done to the windows of the store cabins. I would strongly urge anyone who has any information (or witnesses unruly behaviour in the future anywhere within the village) to contact Don Atkinson on 310109, any member of the parish council or the police.

Lastly for this week, and most importantly, is the reminder that the Welland Steam Rally is this weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Some of the attractions are the Wurzels coming Friday evening, a fireworks display on Saturday evening and all the fun of the old-fashioned fairground, together with traction engines and everything steam.
