THE first stage in the restoration of North Malvern Clock Tower is complete, as it now has four time-telling faces.
The tower is one of 14 sites being restored to celebrate Malvern's pure spring water with the help of £75,000 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The work is being carried out on behalf of Malvern Spa Association and the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with repairs to the roof and parapet walls still to be completed.
A new granite basin, bronze tap and interior lights will also be installed in the Well Room, where people will soon be able to go for spring water.
The dedication plaques will also be re-cut, as they have now become hard to read.
David Armitage, of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty service, said: "It's early days yet but the clock is looking magnificent."
The project should be finished within the next four months. Other sites to be restored include Holy Well, Hayslad and Lower Wyche Spout.
