RESIDENTS of Barnards Green are right to be concerned about getting yet another 3G mast in their midst. Actually they should be scared stiff.

The evidence of harm to humans caused by microwave radiation from mobile telecommunications base stations and masts is abundant.

Quite a number of people know somebody who is sensitive to other people's mobile phones and most people have read about homeowners who have had to move from their properties to escape illnesses imposed upon them by nearby masts. But every time a news item concerning masts and their impact on people exposed appears, the media reports as if was the first instant.

In every item which involves residents' concern the piece invariably ends with an industry spokesman being allowed to repeat that 450 research studies into "the safety of mobile phone technology" supposedly give the industry a clean bill of "no risk to human health".

It is about time these studies were published and made available to the general public.

The politicians have virtually removed any possible resistance to the network roll out.

Unrelated general statistics show that all the sicknesses anti-mobile network campaigners name are on the increase and have been since 1994, when mobile phones were introduced in the form we know today. These are neuro-related sicknesses, gland-related sicknesses, headaches, tinnitus and similar.

What has happened? The biggest uncontrolled experiment on humans has happened. Radiation from mobile telecommunications equipment.
