KIDDERMINSTER Harriers face their toughest pre-season test yet when Coca-Cola Championship outfit Coventry City roll into town tonight (7.45).
Mark Yates' side drew 0-0 at Halesowen Town on Saturday but face a much sterner challenge with the visit of Micky Adams' men to Aggborough.
With a little over 10 days to go until Harriers' Football Conference opener against St Albans, Yates is happy at the way pre-season has gone to date and admits the timing of the Coventry clash could not be better.
He said: "It's perfect to be honest. We have had a couple of games against local teams but tonight's going to be a great test for us. It's something for the lads to work hard at.
"We are hopeful they will bring a strong side -- it will be a good test for us. Everyone will play some part, we haven't got down to a final 11 yet.
"We have not uprooted any trees, we have made steady progress looking at certain things, staying fit and staying clear of injuries."
Harriers have arranged a fans' forum evening for Thursday, August 10.
