YOUNGSTERS who enjoy singing, dancing and acting can now take part in a musical theatre summer school in Newent.
The course will be taught by theatre director Jo Roach and Gareth Wigg, an actor and singer from Stepout Theatre.
It is aimed at young people between the ages of 10 and 14, who want to develop their theatre skills, and beginners who want to try a new hobby, make friends and have some fun.
The summer school will hold workshops in drama, singing, music, dance, mime, physical theatre, choreography and directing, and teach children how these come together to make live theatre.
The week will finish with a performance of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe in front of family and friends.
It runs from Monday, August 21 to Friday, August 25, from 10am to 4pm daily at Strawberry Hill Dance Centre in Newent.
