WORCESTER suffered another crushing defeat at the hands of Wombourne when Greg Tomkins scored 129 not out, hitting Worcester's bowlers to all parts of his club's ground.

With Shemer and Hill scoring 40 and 55 not out, they helped Wombourne to amass a score of 307-3 declared in the third division fixture.

Worcester's bowlers of Lockwood, Weston and Gardiner all took a wicket apiece.

The Worcester batsmen did not fare any better, being all out for 139.

Opener Dan Tarver, with 28, looked to be in good form and, later in the innings, Chadhani (23) and Dan Keyte, with a late flurry at the end, made 43 including seven fours and two sixes.

Wombourne's bowlers P Hughes, A Hughes and Sunasara all claimed three wickets apiece.

With seven games to go, Worcester are still bottom of the league after picking up just two points in this match.

Worcester's seconds lost by seven wickets in their match with Tamworth, only managing 177 off 50 overs for the loss of six wickets.

Mike Genever (32) and Tahir Ali (31) were Worcester's top scorers along with 41 extras.

Tamworth knocked the score off for the loss of just three wickets.

Situ (76) and N Gough (54 not out) were Tamworth's best batsmen.

Meanwhile, in division one, Bromsgrove beat Aston Unity by 85 runs.

They set a target of 174 with Malik top-scoring on 48.

He then did the business with the ball, taking three wickets while Husbands saw off the lower order with a five-wicket haul.

nEvesham had a draw in their division two encounter at Tamworth. Chasing a total of 288, they were grateful to Marshall, who scored 108 to help them to a total of 215-8 in 52 overs.

In the third division, Ombersley were beaten by five wickets by Solihull Blossomfield.

They made 261-8 in their 55 overs with Catterall the pick of the batsmen with 90.
