AT the July meeting, details of forthcoming events were given.
On July 20, the Luncheon Club met at Harvington Hall. A fundraising skittles evening will be held on July 29.
Though no meetings are held in August, there are two social events. On August 24, members will visit Highgrove and they are planning an evening visit to Avoncroft Historic Buildings Museum on August 11.
Members who had been on the county visit to Germany had a great time and brought back presents for three members who had to make late cancellations.
Guest speaker was magistrate Annette Dickers, speaking about her life on the bench.
During her long spell of duty, she has seen many changes, with increase in paperwork and legal changes involving human rights laws.
The evening ended with a report on the recent national AGM.
The next meeting is on September 9.
