MEMBERS were unlucky again this year when heavy showers meant that, at the last minute, they had to abandon the idea of a July summer garden meeting and meet at the village hall as usual.
But Stella came up with the solution - if we couldn't go to her garden, then she would bring examples of her garden to us by way of a flower arranging demonstration.
From "a bit of this and a bit of that" Stella produced three superb and very different arrangements.
Stella shared a few tips, such as remove stamens from lilies to avoid staining, soak foliage (in the bath if necessary) and condition flowers before use.
The arrangements were raffled.
In August, there is an outing to Burford, where members will have a guided tour.
But before that, they will be baking cakes for the stall at the Inkberrow Horse Show.
