THE July meeting included a report from the delegate from Bentley Pauncefoot on the AGM held in Cardiff in June.
In response to a donation of £34 and cakes to the WI stall at the Alexandra Hosptal fete, there was a letter of thanks and the news the total amount taken was a record £174.85.
Speaker David Burness is a practising acupuncturist and told of the way it works and also mentioned other therapies he uses.
There were two petitions to be signed,one to the Government about farm gate milk prices and one very important to this area, to keep maternity and paediatric services at the Alex.
Those who went to the garden party given by Ipsley member Jackie Gregory had a most enjoyable time. Some members joined the Federation outing to Windsor on July 17.
Margaret Bennett won flower of the month.
The next meeting is on September 11 at the Ecumenical Centre at 2pm when there will be an auction of harvest produce.
