AT the meeting on July 12, the speaker was Joanne Gloger, the curator of Forge Mill Needle Museum, with a talk entitled ''There's more to a needle maker than meets the eye''.
Joanne lives in Crabbs' Cross and has been the museum's curator for the last 10 years.
The museum is the only water powered mill in the Midlands and was opened by the Queen in 1983.
The museum tells the fascinating and sometimes gruesome story of needle making in Victorian times. The scouring mill is the only one remaining in the world.
The next meeting is on Wednesday, August 9 and the speaker will be Rosemary Hale with ''Adventures with a Camera''.
