SHEILA O'Shaughnessy thanked everyone who had supported the recent garden party and particularly thanked Margaret Harrison for hosting such a relaxed afternoon in her lovely garden.
About £400 had been raised towards supporting Macmillan Nurses and this was to be combined with £214 raised through a sponsored walk.
Members were invited to join a walk around Alcester, a coach trip to Waddeston Manor, a trip to Windsor and an invitation to a skittles match at Hopwood WI.
The speaker was Suzanne Kirby from Tardebigge who gave a talk on house swapping.
After becoming a widow she decided she needed to look at a different way of going on holiday and became a member of Homelink, which is one of the biggest home swapping organisations.
Suzanne had visited Australia, Canada, America and was soon on her way to Germany.
She had made good friends with the people she had met and many came to visit her when she was back at home.
