REDDITCH-based amateur theatre group Bridging the Gap will present its first offering at Bromsgrove's Artrix this weekend.
The group will perform Sarah Kane's 4:48 Psychosis tomorrow and Friday at the Artrix's studio theatre.
Bridging the Gap is an amateur theatre group for young people aged 18-25.
It is a joint venture between Redditch Council and Jestaminute Theatre Company and this week's production will be the group's first.
Jestaminute director Andy Higgitt said: "Bridging the Gap has developed an ensemble piece, which will bring this rarely performed play to life using multimedia and physical theatre."
4:48 Psychosis is a look at what it is to be human in an increasingly confusing world.
It was written while Sarah Kane herself was suffering from depression and examines the illness.
The emotional content of the play is very raw and it contains some strong language and sensitive humour that may offend some people, so it is only for audience members over the age of 16.
Tickets are available from the Artrix box office on 01527 577330.
