REDDITCH swam very competitively to finish fourth in a Mercian League round three gala, just three points off third place.
First places went to Lydia May (10 years) 50m freestyle, Taylor Hartley (10) 50m breaststroke, Sophie Bridgman (10) 25m butterfly, James Green (12) 50m fly and 100m free, Emma Green (14) 100m fly and 100m free and Bethany May (14) 100m free.
Second places went to Luke Young (12) 100 breast, Sophie Parkins (12) 50m fly, Christopher Ball (12) and Jessica Nice (16+) 100m backstroke and Lucy Edwards (16+) 100m breast and 100m individual medley.
Third places were gained by Jenna Pardy (14) 100m back, Jessica Nice (14) 100m breast and Paul May (16+) 100m free.
Ten-year-olds Sasha Knibbs, Cassandra Robinson, Sophie Bridgman and Lydia May won the medley relay and Christopher Ball, Luke Young, James Green and Taylor Hartley triumphed in both the 12 and under freestyle and medley relays.
Jessica Nice, Lucy Edwards, Emma Green and Bethany May touched home first in the open age group freestyle and medley relays.
Emma Green, Jenna Pardy, Bethany May and Jessica Nice (14) were runners-up in the freestyle relay.
Lydia May, Cassandra Robinson, Sophie Bridgman and Sasha Knibbs finished third in the (10) free and Jenna Pardy, Bethany May, Jessica Nice and Emma Green in the (14) medley relays.
Personal bests were posted by Daniel Bridgman, Olivia Laxton and Gareth Ravenhill and also swimming and gaining valuable points for the club were Samantha Richards and Hannah Rolls.
