NEIGHBOURHOOD group budgets will not be reinstanted, Redditch Council's executive committee has ruled.
The committee discussed bringing back the budgets after receiving requests from both the Batchley and Brockhill group and the Winyates and Winyates Green group at last Wednesday's meeting.
Budgets for the groups were cut as part of a raft of emergency cost-cutting measures earlier this year.
Deputy chairman Councillor Bill Hartnett explained that not all the neighbourhood groups had used the money they had accrued, although some had.
He also said only two groups had asked for the budgets to be brought back and as it would not have been fair to bring them back for only those two, they had taken the decision not to give budgets back to any of them.
