LOU Vincent was awarded his county colours on the first day of the Liverpool Victoria County Championship game against Gloucestershire at New Road by club captain Vikram Solanki.
Vincent came to the club as cover for overseas opening batsman Phil Jaques, who was selected to represent Australia 'A' in the Top End Series.
The New Zealander arrived on June 21 and started his Worcestershire career with 83 on debut against Yorkshire in the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy. He quickly established himself as a popular figure both in the dressing room and with supporters.
Vincent will remain with the County and take his place in the side when Jaques is called to his national side's training camp on August 20.
