A ROOF fire at a home in Salford Priors is thought to have been started by a soldering iron being used at the house.
Fire crews from Bidford and Alcester were called to the house in Cherry Trees on Wednesday, July 12 at 4pm.
On arrival, they found a fire burning in the loft space of the semi-detached bungalow.
Firefighters entered the loft wearing breathing apparatus and put out the blaze.
They removed tiles from the damaged roof and cleared the smoke using a fan.
