WORCESTERSHIRE director of cricket Steve Rhodes will instruct his players to go into today's Liverpool Victoria County Championship Division Two clash with Glamorgan in 'ultra-positive' mood.
Rhodes believes the weather is likely to affect the game, which is scheduled to start at 11am, and wants his batsmen to take full advantage of time in the middle.
The former New Road wicketkeeper is also looking to his team to build on last week's dramatic two-wicket win over Surrey at The Brit Oval with another victory.
He said: "We were disappointed our game with Durham was rained off on Sunday because we were full of confidence after the Surrey game.
"We want to go about our game with Glamorgan in ultra-positive mood because it looks likely we could lose more time out in the middle to the rain.
"We are all on a high at the moment and Glamorgan have had a bit of an indifferent start to the season and have been struggling for results.
"But they have plenty of spirit in their side and we won't be taking them lightly."
All-rounder Roger Sillence will replace paceman Matt Mason, who is struggling with a strain to his hip flexor muscle, in the 12-man squad -- the only change from the team who took on Surrey.
This means Aussie opening batsman Phil Jaques will be making his home debut. Today is also a special day for the County's long-serving batsman Graeme Hick who is celebrating his 40th birthday.
However, New Zealand all-rounder James Franklin will not be making his Glamorgan debut after damaging cartilage in his knee.
Glamorgan's last Championship visit to New Road was in 2003 and Worcestershire won a closely-fought contest by 14 runs.
Worcestershire: Moore, Jaques, Solanki, Smith, Hick, Davies, Batty, Kabir Ali, Price, Malik, Zaheer Khan, Sillence.
Glamorgan: Cherry, Cosgrove, Hemp, Powell, Peng, Watkins, Wallace, Croft, Wharf, Davies, Harrison, Cosker.
