TWO Kidderminster sisters hit a charity cash target while taking part in combat games.
Naomi Joy and Abi Goddard generated £800 from a paintball event to pass the £3,000 they needed to take part in the Breakthrough Breast Cancer 60k walk around Birmingham, as the Jublies of Joy team, in September.
Ballbusters Paintballing hosted the event at Holt Heath. Miss Goddard said the company was helpful, adding: "All I had to do was sell tickets to family and friends and they organised the rest of the day."
With 28 people taking part, a site record of more than 27,000 balls were used.
Mrs Joy said she was "thrilled" at how well the event had gone, adding: "Abi and I got more and more excited as the day went on and we were given regular reports on how much money had been raised."
She went on: "Both of us were getting worried about if we would be able to reach our target in time for the walk in September.
"Ballbusters, in partnership with all the people that attended the event, have managed to ensure that both of us will be at the start line on Saturday, September 23. I can't explain how thankful I am for this effort."
