A KIDDERMINSTER hair stylist has proved she is a cut above the rest after being nominated in the UK's leading hairdressing business awards.
Jade Howles, an employee of Lisa Shepherd Salons, in Mill Street has been named as finalist in the Junior/Assistant of the Year Award, one of the most highly regarded categories within the British Hairdressing Business Awards.
The talented graduate, who recived top marks in her hairdressing training, is one of only six up and coming hairdressers in the UK to go through to the final of the category.
As part of the competition criteria, Jade had to enter a portfolio of work and show her achievements in hairdressing so far and document the numerous activities she has been involved in during her first few years in the industry.
The judges, all top industry experts, will be be looking for the finalist who has shown initiative and talent and could be a star of the future.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Monday, September 11.
