A HARTLEBURY teenager's dream came true when she met a popular soap star after winning a national competition.
Amy Williams, 15, of Torton, said she was "over the moon" to be given the chance to come face-to-face with Chris Fountain, who plays Justin Burton in Hollyoaks, after she entered the competition through his fan club website.
The Bewdley High School pupil, who has been a fan of Chris since he first appeared in the Chester-based soap opera, said she was even more surprised to win after entering just before the deadline.
After making it to the final 12, she discovered she had won the competition and travelled to a hotel in Stratford upon Avon with her parents earlier this month. She is also now set to write up a piece about meeting the star for the actor's website.
Amy said: "When I received the phone call to say I'd won first prize and was going to actually meet Chris, I was so excited and couldn't believe it. It was a really special night and one that I shall never forget. "
Chris spent time with Amy and her family, talking about how he broke into the acting profession, his puppy called Snoop and his hopes for the future. The heartthrob then autographed many photographs for Amy and her friends.
"I still can't believe that I was sat next to and talking to someone whose poster is on my bedroom wall and is so famous - I'm the envy of all my friends," said Amy.
"I even had a goodbye kiss from Chris when he left and so did my mum and sister, Emma."
