SERIOUS dragon boat racing returns to Worcester on Sunday following the more light-hearted paddling in June and July.
Crews from across the United Kingdom will be chasing points in the eighth round of the British Dragon Boat Association National League.
The boats, carrying crews of up to 20, will roar down the course of 200 and 450 metres.
Races will run every 10 minutes throughout the day from 10am and until 5.30pm.
The top of the premier league is wide open with both London crew Batchworth and Liverpool-based Amathus in with a shout for the title.
Local premier crew Worcester Dragons will race with a number of new paddlers recruited following Race the Dragon in June.
They will compete against 20 other visiting crews, including Fallen Angels and Severn Warriors.
There is ample parking for the event in the centre of the racecourse and there will be refreshments available throughout the day.
For a day of spectacular racing with perfect viewing for spectators, anyone interested can follow the beat of the drum to the far end of the racecourse.
