THE present policy of Wyre Forest District Council only emptying wheelie bins once a fortnight is an absolute disgrace.
The policy introduced by Health Concern and supported and carried on by the Conservatives must be changed.
I have received literally hundreds of complaints about this service since it was introduced. I have received five letters this week and visited the households concerned.
The households I visited were not large families. They were couples and pensioners, all extremely houseproud who wrap their refuse, who pay for their bins to be cleaned and still they get maggots.
It cannot be allowed to continue. The Labour party across the whole district have campaigned for the last two years to go back to weekly collections. It's time the other parties listened.
