POP superstar Roy G Hemmings is set to have the Artrix in the groove when he brings his Soul Show to the venue in 2006.
Roy is the longest serving member of legendary band The Drifters, which has been topping the charts worldwide for the last 50-years.
He's bringing his show packed with soul classics to the School Drive venue on September 30, before returning to the Artrix for a Christmas Special later in 2006.
Marketing officer Bev Southall said: "This is a great coup for the Artrix as Roy is a genuine superstar of soul.
"He's part of one of the best bands of all time and is bound to get everyone who is coming swinging to his tune.
"He's also coming back to the Artrix for a Christmas show, which would be ideal for parties looking to enjoy themselves during the festive period."
Roy has performed at the Albert Hall and Royal Variety Shows, but his biggest acheivement was singing for President Bill Clinton at the Whitehouse in 1995.
Since then he has been concentrating on a number of solo projects, releasing his first album in 1997 called No Afro, No Sequins.
His stage shows pay tribute to Motown soul from the 1960s to now and contains hits by Ben E King, Otis Redding, James Brown and The Four Tops.
