I WRITE regarding the current state of affairs at the multi-storey car park. Considering that Bromsgrove District Council has received adequate and deserved bad press regarding parking facilities and the hike in charges, one would think an effort would be made to ensure that the facilities are at least serviceable.
I shop regularly on Saturdays and for the fourth week the new Pay Stations on levels 3,4 and 5 have been out of use. For two Saturdays one of the lifts has been out of order.
This state of affairs does nothing to alleviate the public's annoyance at the unfair rise in charges. I can only praise the person who has inscribed on the out of order notice 'so not much is working. We pay for convenience not inconvenience'.
It is understandable why there are serious concerns that the district council is currently in the hands of people incapable of managing its affairs.
