MAMBLE CUM BAYTON WI - Lynn Bowen, president, thanked Ella Grinnall for hosting a coffee morning. The raffle proceeds are being donated to County Air Ambulance. Several members and friends visited David Austen Roses at Albrighton and the Cosford Aerospace Museum. Janet Farmer's report on the annual council meeting was read out.
Details were received of the tea party at Areley Kings on August 15, when the speaker would be from Worcester Royal Porcelain, and Tenbury Show on August 5.
The speaker was Liz Smith of Ewe and You. This registered charity was started by Liz and her husband, Rev Geoffrey Smith, ten years ago.
On Monday, August 7, there will be a visit to Barnards Green House, Malvern.
The next meeting in Mamble village hall will be on September 11 at 7.30pm when Mrs Julia Scott will talk about enjoying and using herbs. There will be the usual trading stall and the competition is for flower of the month.
