CALLOW End Primary School held a service yesterday (Thursday) at St James' Church to mark the end of the school year and to wish the leavers well in their new schools.
Tomorrow (Saturday), the Whole Caboodle Ceilidh Band will be playing at the village hall from 8pm until midnight. Tickets are £5, to include a pig roast. Supported by The Old Bush, the event is in aid of Callow End Kiddies Corner Playgroup, which meets at the Village Hall. A family fun-day is planned for Sunday, August 6, at the village hall, 2-6pm. Usual stalls, plus toy library, face-painting, bouncy castle, fire engine, refreshments, pig roast, ice cream and beer tent. Entry £1 adults, children free. Details from Julia Grantham.
