SWINGING Burma bridges, stepping stones, balance beams and wobbly logs will create a "trim trail" or obstacle course for children in Victoria Park, Malvern.
The new play equipment is due to be installed later this year by Malvern Town Council and will provide children with a range of physical challenges, as well as a fun place to play.
Malvern Town Council's operations committee approved the £5,000 "trim trail" at a meeting on Tuesday, July 18. It will be installed near the Bowling Green driveway.
"These trails are a great idea and we've chosen a trail that can be added to and extended in future with new activities and equipment," said Richard Chapman, Malvern Town Council clerk.
"We looked at quotes from three different companies and have chosen the one that offers the best value for money."
The trail, which is being supplied by specialist company Playdale, will include a hanging Burma bridge, a series of log walks, a wobble board, climbing ledges, balance beams and walks and a chain walk. It will be mainly of timber construction.
