SUPPORTERS of Malvern's community hospital have been awarded certificates of merit for their fundraising.
The recipients are Sue and Philip Nicholls of Barnards Green House, the Anupam Restaurant, Church Street, and the Malvern Terrace Artists.
Mr and Mrs Nicholls regularly host fundraising events in their garden for the League of Friends of Malvern Community Hospital.
Proprietor Kaiser Ahmed and staff of the Anupam are also regular supporters and have raised more than £1,000 for the league.
This year, the Terrace Artists contributed £1,700 following their annual exhibition at Hanley Swan Village Hall.
"These are magnificent examples of the support given to the local community hospital by local people," said vice-chairman Ted Dodsworth.
The league raises money to support the hospital and recent purchases of equipment have included a £2,500 infusion pump and a £3,700 patient monitor.
The next fundraising event is a flag day in September at Morrisons.
