PROFESSIONAL cleaning and dehumidifying equipment, valued at £9,000, has been stolen from a Hanley Swan firm.
The items, including a £6,000 Velva carpet-cleaner and six dehumidifiers, together valued at £1,800, were taken from Chem-Dry Hereford and Worcester at the Blackmore Industrial Estate between 5pm on Sunday, July 16, and 8.30am the next day.
A Dell computer and a radio/ cassette player were also stolen in the raid.
"The carpet-cleaner is a very distinctive piece of equipment and could have been stolen to order," said a police spokesman.
"Alternatively, it may be offered for sale at some time, as may the dehumidifiers.
"Businesses dealing in used items should be extremely wary if offered anything matching the descriptions of the stolen items. If they are in any doubt, they should call the police."
