I IMAGINE there will be a barrage of letters in response to your correspondent who wrote anonymously about discipline at The Chase (Your Letters, July 7).
Many will be in support of The Chase. Some of us would actually like to support the lady who wrote, but will be rather frightened to criticise as it seems disloyal, and it is also hard to criticise without real facts; but I share her worries and concerns and recognise them.
The Chase is not the school it was, and although I sent my children there in good faith some years ago, I am worried every day about whether I made the right decision.
Exactly what has caused this I don't know, but I am aware that in many ways the cultural opportunities are far fewer, and the discipline in classrooms not conducive to the most learning.
This is not to deny that many staff are working extremely hard and doing their very best. It is more to do with the control of the children who do not want to learn.
My children will, I am sure, survive, but it has been so much better and could be so again.
