TALENTED Malvern musician Heather Uren is playing with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain at Malvern Theatres next month.
Heather is following in the footsteps of her brothers, twins Alan and Adrian, who were also members of the orchestra and were both promoted within the company to leader and principal horn, respectively.
The orchestra will be making a return to Malvern Theatres on Thursday, August 3, where it performed to a packed auditorium last year. One of the world's finest youth orchestras, it draws together over 150 talented young musicians from across the UK.
Before the evening concert, the orchestra will showcase a number of works reflecting time and motion and how these can be manipulated in music, near the 8ft Time Flow water clock in the foyer of the theatre. This starts at 5.30pm and can be viewed for free.
The evening performance starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 to £19 on 01684 892277.
