THE Shuttle/Times & News is playing its part in trying to make Wyre Forest a safer place this summer.
We have teamed up with Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership to bring readers a weekly series of articles which focus on a wide range of issues.
The first covers the launch of a new safer drinking campaign and will be published in next week's Shuttle/Times & News.
Advice on dealing with anti-social behaviour, combatting burglary and car crime, and hints on water safety and road safety will be covered in the six-week series.
Shuttle/Times & News editor Clive Joyce said: "We can all be guilty of lowering our guard when we relax during the summer holidays.
"We hope this series of articles creates awareness to help people avoid the kind of problems that can ruin their summer."
The community safety partnership brings together representatives from a wide range of bodies.
The lead partners are Wyre Forest District Council, Worcestershire County Council, West Mercia Constabulary, Wyrer Forest Primary Care Trust, Fire Service and Police Authority.
