ATHLETICS: RICHARD Baker, of Amazing Feet RC, recorded his best time of the year when he clocked 49 mins 7 secs to finish 238th in the Frampton 10k.
Simon Gregg just missed out on a PB with 44-04 in 117th position but two days later, he was back in action at the Stiperstones Fell Race, finishing 72nd in 37-35.
Other club finishers were Craig Lewis (33-11 - 3rd), Mike Warren (36-20 - 61st), Richard Haynes (40-42 - 83rd) and Sarah Lewis (46-59 - 112th).
Two days later Gregg was back in action for a third time in five days as 14 club members took part in the latest Inter-Club League race at the Crown Classic 10km in Telford.
Again he just missed out on a PB, as he recorded 44-07 to finish 40th. The star of the night, however, was Anita Jones (48-04 - 61st) who took the F35 category prize. The club also picked up an award for being the second team to finish.
Other club finishers were Simon Jarosinski (18th in 39-26), Craig Bone (19th, 39-28), John Amos (26th, 41-36), David Whymant (31st, 43-01), Gerry Sanders (70th, 49-32), Paul Hancock (81st, 51-03), Richard Baker (83rd, 51-23), Andy Norris (84th, 51-31), Jane Pye (100th and 3rd F50, 56-12), David Pye (101st, 56-13), Suzanne Dunn (114th, 61-57) and Jacqeline Atkinson (118th, 64-14).
The results mean Anita Jones has moved into the lead in the race for the ladies title, taking over from the absent Sarah Lewis who slips to second.
Bone leads the race for the overall title, but by only two points from Jarosinski, with last year's champion Amos in third.
