ROWING: THIS weekend will be the busiest of the summer for Bewdley Rowing Club as they stage the town's popular annual regatta.
The event will be held on the town stretch of the River Severn on Saturday and Sunday when there will be a total of 18 hours' racing.
With 260 crews entered each day, hundreds of competitors from clubs all over the country will descend on Bewdley.
An international touch will be added by student club Laga who will be visiting from the Netherlands while the local flag will be flown by the Bewdley, Stourport and Worcester clubs.
Racing starts at 9am on Saturday, and 8.30am on Sunday, continuing until around 6pm each day.
Spectators are welcome at the rowing club on Severnside North where refreshments will be available. Spectators will also get a good view of the action from Severnside South.
