AN ENTERPRISING Bewdley teenager has set up an advice line and website for victims of anti-social behaviour.
Project manager, Chris Edwards, of Wassell Drive, has been busy working on the innovative scheme since March and is eager to recruit volunteers to help answer calls from worried Wyre Forest residents.
Victims can log on to the website for information on where to turn to combat the problems they face or share their experiences via an online forum.
The 17-year-old, who is in the second year of an administration course at Kidderminster College, first had the idea of setting up the service two years ago.
He explained: "There were rumours in Bewdley at that time that a curfew might be placed on people under the age of 16 because of problems with anti-social behaviour in the town.
"Young people are sometimes stereotypically portrayed as yobs or chavs in some sections of the media.
"I just want to show that we are not all that bad. Most of the time the problems are because people are bored or just acting the fool.
"I am hoping to get more organisations, like Wyre Forest District Council and the police, on board in the future to get some sort of consistency in the advice we offer."
