A MAN who spent 50 years working in the engineering industry is the new president of Kidderminster and District Lions Club.
Colin Hill, 65, of Broadwaters, succeeded Jeff Pardoe at the helm of the organisation during a social event at Stourport Day Centre.
The new president, who has been vice-president for the past year, worked for Titan Steel Wheels, in Cookley, until he retired in February.
He attended Sladen Secondary School and Kidderminster College and is a widowed father of two.
Mr Hill has been chairman of Kidderminster Carnival committee for 11 years and raises funds for KD11 Harkaway Scouts.
