THE autumn season at Malvern Theatres kicks off with new plays and musicals with mesmerising performances by actors and singers.
Penelope Keith will star in Richard Everett's comedy Entertaining Angels directed by Alan Strachan which tells the story of a clergyman's wife, Grace, who has spent her lifetime on her best behaviour.
Now Grace's husband Bardolph is dead she is enjoying new found freedom to do and say exactly as she pleases. But the return of her eccentric missionary sister, Ruth, forces Grace to confornt the truth of her marriage.
It's at Malvern Theatre from Monday, September 25 until Saturday, September 30.
Tickets range from £24 to £26 for performances on weekdays and weekends.
A classic play that is a blend of pathos and dark comedy comes to Malvern in October as Diana Quick stars in Mother Courage, a Bertolt Brecht's drama translated by Michael Hoffman and directed by Stephen Unwin.
Diana Quick plays Mother Courage with her three children as they strive to make a living during the madness of the Thirty Years War.
Diana's career has seen her appear in film, television and theatre.
Mother Courage starts on Thursday, October 5 until Saturday, October 7 with tickets costing from £22 to £26.
Felicity Kendal performs at the Malvern Theatre this November in Amy's View by David Hare.
The play set in 1979 tells the story of Esme Allen who has it all. A successful actress, she is at the pinnacle of her career and passionate about the West End stage where she earns a comfortable living.
A visit from her daughter Amy, with her new boyfriend, a brash young gossip columnist, sets in motion a series of events which reach their shattering conclusion 16 years later. Amy's View runs from Monday, November 6 until Saturday, November 11.
