SUNDAY'S home Concorde League date with Hewell resulted in a narrow five-shot triumph for Evesham's men.
The hosts found themselves 11 shots adrift at halfway but they hit back to win on three of the five rinks and draw one of the others.
The revival was led by Brian Quarterman and Colin Grinnell who both enjoyed good wins. George Green's rink grabbed victory on the final end, while five shots from Nigel Gould's team on the last end secured a draw.
The men had also tasted success four days earlier against a depleted Droitwich visiting side who suffered a shot penalty on three of the rinks.
Evesham's best winners were again led by Green who recorded a 28-8 victory.
The ladies were in action at home to Broadway last Thursday when again the visitors received a shot handicap for not fielding a full team.
However, Broadway hit back from 29-17 behind to lead 49-48 before the penalty shots guaranteed a home win thanks to victories for the rinks led by Jean Hemms and Doreen Bawn.
l TWO mixed rinks from Evesham have qualified for the semi-finals of the annual county competition.
Pauline Hodge, Dave Welch and Brian and Heather Quarterman overcame opponents from Stourbridge 20-9, while Jean Hemms, Nigel Gould and Gary and Jean Hunt defeated a quartet from Bredon 19-15.
