THE supervising architect on the Rhydd Covert project believes the district Scouts have a "quality" building that harmonises with its setting deep in the Wyre Forest.
David Trewin, of Trewin Associates of Hagley, said: "It is a nice building in a nice setting and it sits appropriately in its surroundings.
"It looks good, feels good and will last a very long time. It will serve the Scouts well. I am sure they are going to enjoy using it."
He added: "I have been truly amazed at the generosity of people. The Scouts have a quality building made possible, of course, by the fact that so many people have been so generous in giving materials and money."
Mr Trewin's task was to oversee the development of the new centre from the initial tendering process through to completion and he complimented Bewdley builder Pondstart on the way the job was done.
"There was never any problems with progress or quality of work and the project went very smoothly. It was a well-run contract and my site involvement was made easier by that fact," he said.
