RESIDENTS and staff at a Kidderminster sheltered accommodation complex put their feet up and enjoyed a cuppa to raise money for charities helping to save lives.
More than 30 people from Arch Hill Court, in Orchard Street, relaxed with a drink and cake to help collect £335 for the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
Liz Meese, who has been at Arch Hill for more than 26 years, said everyone involved was delighted by the final figure raised, as it was more than they expected.
The community scheme manager explained: "We have lost quite a few residents and staff members to these types of illnesses over the last few years and we wanted to do something to help.
"We have raised money by holding similar events in the past and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We will be doing it again for the Macmillan charity coffee morning. We do that every year."
