WORKERS at two Kidderminster banks owned by the same company have been assured their jobs are not in danger even if bosses decide to close one of their town centre branches.
It was announced last month that all Woolwich branded branches would be phased out by September, 2007 and come under the name of Barclays, which bought the bank in 2000.
The company said any branches within 300 metres of each other would be "consolidated into single premises".
There is currently a Woolwich in Vicar Street and a Barclays in nearby Oxford Street.
