COMMUNITY healthcare will be run from Evesham Community Hospital from Friday, July 28.
The move, a temporary one for about 18 months, is the first phase of work to build a new health centre and GP surgeries at Merstow Green.
Primary Care Trust healthcare staff who work at the current Evesham Health Centre will move across the River Avon to a new Community Services Department, created in space available at the hospital.
With nurses and therapists go all clinics and services they provide. The level of care and the way appointments are made are the same.
Staff moving to the new Community Services Department are district nurses, health visitors attached to the Merstow Green doctors, health visitors for the elderly, school nurses, podiatrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, community midwives and community learning disability nurses.
Clinics on the move are podiatry, speech and language therapy, audiology (including hearing aid services), paediatric and specialist clinics, child psychiatry and continence advice.
The single contact number for all community healthcare staff is the same, 01386 502300.
Lines are open from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
